Channel Sales Representative

As a member of our company’s Interiors Segment, Retail Sales Representatives work to secure relationships, product positioning within “big box” retail accounts while continuing to monitor inventory and improving brand presence in the store. In addition, this role will strategically identify and target potential end users (e.g. tile installers, property management companies, remodelers) to generate and grow new business by successfully converting the target audience from using competitive building products to using our company’s products. The incumbent also positions the Company’s value proposition and whole-product solution (interiors & exteriors) to the customer to build and enhance customer relationships and to become a strong business partner.
The Retail Sales Representative focuses sales efforts in their geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from his/her appropriate Area Sales Manager (ASM).  The Retail Sales Representative will individualize a plan for their territory and decide on the proper focus areas to achieve market share growth goals. 
  • Develop relationships with store / branch management in “big box” retail accounts
  • Uncover creative methods to position the Company’s products and solutions in the stores and in front of target customers
  • Perform in-store demonstrations as a method to educate and convert competitive product users
  • Identify target customers buying competitive products through the retail channel
  • Maintain effective inventory levels at all stores
  • Perform product knowledge seminars / classes to key employees
  • Conduct competitive market analyses; including existing territory, customer types, and existing competitive products
  • Learn and demonstrate the fundamentals of tile installation across the various building segments
  • Uses to plan and manage time as well as customer information
  • Develop base level knowledge of company’s retail strategy with demonstrated results
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others
  • Crafts win-win solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Sales / business / financial acumen
  • Excellent presentation skills before both small and large groups.
  • Organize time effectively on daily and weekly basis

  • Maintain and upgrade individual skills set, per market, through coaching, continuous learning and market awareness.
  • 1 - 2 years of successful outside sales experience selling value-added, whole solution products to customers
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Sales and/or Marketing preferred)
  • Bilingual -Spanish and/or Polish needed
  • Previous experience in construction environments a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license.
