The sales territory this position covers is Eastern Pa, Western New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Southeastern Canada.  This position reports to the Sr Director, Sales & Marketing.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the company and customers (existing and prospective).
  • Drives profitable growth within the assigned territory and account base.
  • Maximize company share and optimize alloy and application mix utilizing the customer growth process.
  • Develop customer plans for targeted growth accounts and alloys, and applications
  • Identify and qualify new prospects and growth opportunities
  • Identify total purchase requirements and company addressable share.
  • Provide rolling forecasts for both order entry and shipments.
  • Gather market intelligence, provide input on pricing strategy, assist contract negotiations
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitive landscape in terms of lead times, pricing, products, applications, capacity and equipment, and strategy initiatives.
  • Provide support to team leader and account representatives.
  • Track customer inquiries, orders, shipments, and claims. Drive resolution of issues in each.
  • Bachelor's Degree minimum in a related field, technical degree preferred
  • Qualified applicants must bring a developed set of account management skills.
  • Experience selling specialty materials to OEM
  • Experience in a metals manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel several days a week.
  • Willingness to relocate & reside within the territory, preferably Eastern Pa, NJ, southern CT area
  • Ability to organize, lead projects and audits effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to accomplish goals with excellent judgment, motivation and planning capabilities
  • Ability to develop better methods or techniques. Must apply professional knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and written and verbal communication skills required.
