Capital Delivery Engineering Manager

The Manager for Global Capital Delivery is responsible for the design and execution of an effective and efficient capital delivery process. This role oversees the creation and implementation of standards and practices related to project management, project controls, design, contracting, and C&Q when it comes to facility projects. This role is also responsible for project profiling, resource assessments, facility master plans, cost estimation, manufacturing capital plan process, execution and reporting as well as indirect oversight of project managers across the globe working on key facility delivery projects.
Key Objectives/Deliverables: 
Execution of capital planning process for Business plan and strategic plan
Oversight of key facility delivery projects complying with schedule cost and customer requirements.
Develop standards and practices for project management
Design and execution of the resource assessment process
Design and execution of facilities master plans across manufacturing sites
Execution of project profiling
Establish process for projects controls,  monitoring and reporting
Develop and oversight of global C&Q process
Establish a partnership with procurement to develop  project procurement plans
Develop a working relationship with Global/Local A/E firms, CMs, and Automation contractors to ensure competitive bidding of design and oversight services
Execution of manufacturing capital governance, including but not limited to facilitating capital investment committees, profiling approvals and others
Throughout the project lifecycle, influence project execution to remain in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures: FRAP, EGQS, Safety/Environmental, Regulatory, and applicable Government regulations.
Influence and maintain the safety culture within the staff and the design and construction resources they use to execute work. Actively engage in safety/environmental event reviews and corrective actions.
Manage a staff of exempt level employees performing tasks such as: ePMs, Development Plans, staffing and planning models, work load assignments and compensation reviews. Manage departmental expenses for cost center if applicable.
Stay abreast of industry trends to improve efficiency and productivity.  Use learning and benchmarking to continually improve capital delivery performance
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree
10-15 years of work experience in capital delivery/Project management
10 -15 years of Project management experience on highly complex projects.
10 -15 years of strong financial/budgeting/costing/project controls/forecasting experience and an overall knowledge of capital planning and delivery processes
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Fundamental understanding of asset delivery processes
Understanding of manufacturing site operations and ability to establish strong rapport with engineering management at sites
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of very experienced professionals. The capacity to achieve results through people is critical and ability to influence personnel and organizations without having direct authority
Valid passport
Must be able to speak, read and write English to a level to communicate technical and business information effectively
Demonstrated ability to facilitate issue resolution, anticipate changes, plan ahead, and implement with quality speed and value.
Demonstrated value and experience in applying a structured approach to project management based on compliance with policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills with ability to build strong interfaces with a broad spectrum of personnel at all levels of the organizations.
Master’s degree in business or engineering and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
Experience in animal health operations
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships between internal and external functional groups with competing and changing priorities and with limited direct authority
Demonstrated experience in effective mediation/negotiation in both group and individual settings
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly autonomous, flexible environment with minimal direction
Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated ability to create complex spreadsheets, analyses data and summarize results
Additional Information
This position serves an 8-hour Monday through Friday work schedule
Situations may arise where off-schedule work, both on-site and off-site, may be required
This position may require up to 10-25% travel on an annual basis including international travel
