Business Strategy analyst – Market Research

Position overview:
Produces analytical solutions at System and Network level to support the strategic plan, business development, growth activities, strategic performance, and innovative initiatives. Responsible for developing and reporting market research studies, as well as collecting, integrating, analyzing and reporting competitor, clinician and/or operating unit information.  Also responsible for pro-active market intelligence; scanning the environment and keeping abreast of changes in the environment that may impact the company.
 
Responsibilities: 

1. Coordinates and fulfills a variety of project requests in the areas of business planning, market research, strategy execution and analysis, and product/service development.    

2. Gathers data, conducts analysis and interprets results of business, market and strategic information to support recommended strategic initiatives.  Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of reported information.  Translates financial and numerical data into readily understandable narrative.  Calculates implications to quantify data for business and strategic planning and execution.

3. Coordinates and develops standardized analytical reporting processes.      

4. Coordinates and ensures data is accurately incorporated to existing data warehouses and acts as point of contact for data integrity inquires.    

5. Develops and produces competitor market assessments including pricing practices, financial position, market share and other secondary research in an efficient manner within established time frames.    

6. Contributes to the development of business plans and business plan retrospective reviews.

7. Develops and monitors defined metrics that support network and system wide parameters in accordance with business and strategic plans.

8. Assists in partnership negotiations as needed.    

9. Prepares and presents business planning and financial analytics information as requested.  Provides financial and business education as appropriate.

10. Maintains data; develops, documents and generates reports; maximize capabilities for tracking and reporting information.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 
Qualifications:
Education:
    ·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration,                                Engineering or related field required.
                  ·        MBA or MHA preferred.

Experience/training:    

·        Minimum of two years of experience in business planning, strategy and analytics required.
·        Experience with spreadsheets required.
·        Experience with relational databases required.
·        Experience with statistical modeling and analysis required.
