Job Overview:
This position will report directly to the Sales Manager for North America with dotted-line responsibility to the Market Development Manager who is in Europe.  It is an externally focused position and will require frequent communications with customers, key players, business partners and technology providers.
 
Responsibilities:
- Develop value propositions by focusing on 2-3 market segments, industries or applications which may provide growth opportunities in the region over the next 1-3 years.
- Conducts or supervises market research (both field and desk) to profile assigned market segments.
- Monitors changes in the markets as they reflect customer needs.
- Follows competitive action within target markets.
- Develops and/or supports the development of both technical and economic feasibility models and business plans.- Identifies and recommends partnerships with key players in the target markets.
- Identifies distribution channels and sales coverage requirements for target markets.
- Identifies product and service requirements for target markets.
-Collaboration internally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Finance and Legal are critical for success.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
-Previous experience in a customer facing position. (7 -10 years)
-Strong inclusive leadership skills.
-Strong oral and written communications.
-Ability to work well cross-functionally.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
-Additional experience or degrees in finance.
-Five years of experience in the power industry.
-Economic modeling experience.
-Experience with micro-grids or multiple power generation technologies.
